Gravel Garners Early Lead in STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (February 20, 2023) – A powerful performance at Volusia Speedway Park’s DIRTcar Winter Nationals has propelled David Gravel into the early lead in the 2023 edition of the STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings.

After a podium showing in the All Star opener and then a tenth-place run, Gravel swept through the opening two nights of World of Outlaws competition to take early command.  Gravel will have to wait until March 5 to potentially put the clamps on the Big Gator after the WoO finale of the DIRTcar Nationals fell victim to rain prior to the feature event.

With Gravel’s sweep of the pair of WoO openers, he holds a six-point edge over Justin Peck.  After a pair of fifth-place showings at Volusia, Peck made up ground with back-to-back All Star runner-up finishes at East Bay.

Buddy Kofoid, putting his focus on the 410 ranks for the first time, sits third after finishing second to Gravel in both World of Outlaws main events with Logan Schuchart and East Bay All Star sweeper Tyler Courtney filling out the early top five.

Others among the early top ten include DIRTcar Nationals opening night winner Carson Macedo, Anthony Macri, Brad Sweet, James McFadden and Donny Schatz.

After topping the STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings in 2022, Brent Marks posted a pair of seventh-place finishes at Volusia and sits 13th in this year’s early rankings.
