Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (July 19, 2023) – After trailing by just two points at the Mid-Season release, Jason Martin has raced into the lead of the Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Car Power Rankings.
Martin, the current ASCS National points leader, posted his ninth win of the season at Dodge City on July 7 and added a runner-up finish the next night to overtake previous leader Justin Sanders. Martin’s lead stands at just 15 points over Sanders, who picked up his fifth win of the season last Friday at Ocean Speedway.
With Martin and Sanders, who topped last year’s Rod End Supply Winged 360 Power Rankings, leading the way, Matt Covington is 66 points off the lead pace in third with GLSS points leader Max Stambaugh and Cali shoe Tanner Carrick rounding out the current top five.
Canada’s Dylan Westbrook picked off three wins over the past two weekends to make a jump from 16th to sixth with Davie Franek and current ESS points leader Jordan Poirier slipping to seventh and eighth, respectively. Chase Randall has jumped from 25th to ninth after reeling off a third consecutive Knoxville win this past Saturday with Phil Gressman breaking into the top ten as well.
