Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (June 7, 2023) – As the heat of summer begins to kick in, so does the racing action.

USAC’s Indiana Midget Week resumes tonight with Gas City hosting Round Three with four more nights to follow in tandem with Non-Wing Sprint Cars.  Jacob Denney opened Midget Week on Sunday night with a win at Haubstadt and leads both Midget Week and season points.

The World of Outlaws take to Knoxville for two nights on Friday and Saturday with Carson Macedo holding a slight edge over Brad Sweet and David Gravel in a heated WoO title fight as Kerry Madsen leads Austin McCarl and Aaron Reutzel in the early stages of the Knoxville points race.

Eight Ohio Sprint Speedweek events for the All Stars kicks off Friday at Attica as Tyler Courtney holds a 100-point advantage over Chris Windom in the season title chase.  Justin Peck topped last year’s Ohio Speedweek points but has remained sidelined since his recent violent crash at Bridgeport.

The top of the MSCS point charts isn’t a flashback from six or more years back as Brady Short is leading the way into a Saturday card at Circle City.  To the West, Brody Roa leads the USAC/CRA troops into Saturday’s card at the PAS where he isn’t one of the three drivers (Justin Grante, Matt Mitchell and Tommy Malcolm) to win in as many previous Perris stops this season.

A variety of ASCS Regional action looms, primarily in the northern and western territories aside from Crowley’s Ridge, while USCS has another weekend double in store after Derek Hagar swept through all six Speedweek nights.

The SCCT contests round six Saturday night at Petaluma after Dominic Scelzi became the series first repeat winner of the season last Friday at Placerville.

There is plenty of other action to go around as well.
