Swanson Holds Edge Over Cummins in Non-Wing Power Rankings!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (June 2, 2023) – Jake Swanson has moved to the top of the charts in the latest edition of the sponsorless Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings.

The Anaheim native holds a mere two-point edge over Kyle Cummins after notching his second win of the season with a USAC triumph at Circle City on May 25 that was bookended by another pair of podium finishes during the three-day span of racing.

Cummins shared similar numbers with three podium finishes in the same stretch and then added his third win of the year with a Sunday night MSCS score at Haubstadt to stay within a pair of markers of the AZ Racing team.

Previous leader C.J. Leary has slipped to third after topping last year’s Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings with Brady Bacon and Emerson Axsom rounding out the current top five.

A stretch of rough luck has dropped Justin Grant to sixth with Tye Mihocko, Kevin Thomas, Jr., Chase Stockon and Brody Roa filling out the current top ten.

This will be the final release of the Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings until season’s end unless a title sponsor can be obtained.  Anyone interested in Title Sponsorship of the Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings may contact lonniewheatlley@gmail.com.

The Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Cars, Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Cars and sponsorless Midgets.

Separated into Non-Wing 410 and Non-Wing 360 Power Rankings through 2018, those were consolidated into a single Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Ranking for 2019 and beyond with all Non-Wing 410 and injected Non-Wing 360 events included in the Rankings.
