Gurley Garners USCS Honors in Hattiesburg Finale!

Lonnie Wheatley (March 4, 2023) – Hebron, Indiana’s Corbin Gurley made the trek to Mississippi pay off to the tune of $3,000 by scoring his first USCS win in Saturday night’s “Hub City 200” 30-lap finale at Hattiesburg Speedway.

And he did it the hard way in the Winter Heat event by racing from the tenth position to post his second career Sprint Car feature win after scoring a 410-ci victory at Jacksonville (IL) Speedway last July.

Gurley raced to Saturday night’s checkered flag ahead of Oklahoma’s Brandon Anderson with Pennsylvania’s Mark Smith, North Carolina’s Gavan Boschele and Magnolia State shoe Jan Howard rounding out the top five.

Kaylee Bryson crossed the stripe sixth after winning her second heat race in as many nights with Chase Howard, Lance Moss, Terry Gray and Morgan Turpen completing the top ten.  Friday night winner and current USCS Winter Heat points lead Davie Franek finished 11th.

Along with Bryson, other heat race winners were Franek, Boschele and Jan Howard among the 29-car field with Lance Moss topping the “B” Main.
