Leary Leapfrogs Grant for Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings Lead!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (September 7, 2022) – The war for the top spot in the Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings wages on as C.J. Leary has moved back around Justin Grant to reclaim the number one position.

After a podium finish at the Kokomo Smackdown, Leary added his ninth win of the season on Friday night at Bloomington’s Josh Burton Memorial and posted runner-up honors in Sunday’s Kokomo season finale to reclaim the lead by just four points.

Leary is gunning for the top final ranking for the second time after earning number one honors in 2019 while Grant vies for the top ranking for the first time after finishes of second on three previous occasions in 2017, 2019 and 2021.

While Leary and Grant lead the way, Brady Bacon is just 49 points off the lead pace as he guns for a third consecutive top ranking after topping the charts in both 2020 and 2021.

Robert Ballou is another nine points back in fourth while Jake Swanson has moved back into the top five after a solid Smackdown outing.

Chase Stockon falls out of the top five to sixth while Smackdown champ Kyle Cummins climbs a position to seventh after adding his seventh win of the season in Sunday’s Kokomo finale.

Emerson Axsom sits eighth with Jason McDougal moving up to ninth as Jadon Rogers breaks into the top ten.
