Lonnie Wheatley, INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 25, 2022) – Reigning Kokomo Smackdown champion Justin Grant leads the way into this weekend’s event as he sits atop the latest Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings.
With a half-dozen wins on the season and the Indiana Sprintweek title to his credit, Grant holds a 46-point lead over C.J. Leary going into the weekend with Brady Bacon another six points back in third.
Grant is vying for his first number one ranking for the season after finishing among the top five over each of the past five seasons including runner-up rankings in 2021, 2019 and 2017.
Currently second, C.J. Leary topped the Non-Wing Power Rankings 2019 while third-ranked Bacon has finished atop the charts over each of the past two years.
Another six points behind Bacon in fourth is Robert Ballou, who topped the Non-Wing Power Rankings in 2014 and 2015.
Chase Stockon has climbed a pair of positions to break into the top five with Jake Swanson, Emerson Axsom, Kyle Cummins, Logan Seavey and Jason McDougal filling out the current top ten.
The Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Cars, Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Cars and Midgets.
