Cannon McIntosh Builds Midget Power Rankings Lead after Weekend Sweep!

Lonnie Wheatley, INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 22, 2022) – Coming off a weekend sweep, Cannon McIntosh has built his Midget Power Rankings lead to 38 points over previous leader Buddy Kofoid.

After finishing second to Kofoid in the USAC’s “BC39” to kick off the month of August, McIntosh swept this past weekend’s POWRi events in Illinois to run his season total to 11 wins as he vies for his first top season-ranking in the Midget Power Rankings.

Competing more in the Winged Sprint Car ranks since his BC39 triumph, Kofoid has matched McIntosh in the win category with 11 triumphs as he seeks a top ranking for the third year in a row.

With McIntosh and Kofoid leading the way, Justin Grant is another 105 points back in third with Bryant Wiedeman in fourth as Brenham Crouch makes his way into the top five.

The balance of the current top ten includes Thomas Meseraull, Zach Daum, Jacob Denney, Mitchel Moles and Kaylee Bryson.

The Midget Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410s, Non-Wing Sprint Cars and Rod End Supply Winged 360s.
