Kofoid Holds Midget Power Rankings Lead after Mid-America Championship Win!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (July 18, 2022) – Michael “Buddy” Kofoid continues to hold down the lead in the Midget Power Rankings after topping Saturday night’s Mid-America Midget Championship at Jefferson County in Fairbury, NE.

After topping the opening two nights of the “USAC Nationals” at Huset’s Speedway before flipping in the finale, Kofoid finished off Mid-America Midget Week with a last-lap win at Jefferson County when race leaders Cannon McIntosh and Ryan Timms made contact on the final circuit to open the door for Kofoid’s tenth Midget feature win of the season, this one worth $10,000.

With the triumph, Kofoid holds a 19-point edge over McIntosh, who pushed his win total for the season seven with a Sunday night score at Sweet Springs, MO.

Justin Grant is another 74 points back in third with Bryant Wiedeman holding down fourth as Thomas Meseraull breaks into the top five.

Brenham Crouch is currently sixth with Jacob Denney, Zach Daum, Mitchel Moles and Kaylee Bryson filling out eh current top ten.

The Midget Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410s, Non-Wing Sprint Cars and Rod End Supply Winged 360s.
