Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (July 14, 2022) – Justin Grant has made his way to the top of the Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings point charts.
But not by much, as the Ione, California native’s lead is at just two points over previous leader C.J. Leary with Brady Bacon lurking just another seven points back as he vies for the top ranking for a third year in a row.
Grant posted runner-up finishes in both preliminary nights of “USAC Nationals” action at Huset’s Speedway before a seventh-place finish in the finale, good enough to push him to the top spot over Leary.
Grant has a handful of wins to his credit with Indiana Sprintweek looming a week from now. While the lead trio of Grant, Leary and Bacon are separated by just nine points, USAC Nationals champ Robert Ballou climbed a pair of positions to fourth with rookie contender Emerson Axsom filling out the current top five.
Jake Swanson currently sits sixth with Chase Stockon, Logan Seavey, Matt Westfall and Thomas Meseraull completing the current top ten.
The Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Cars, Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Cars and Midgets.
