Leary & Kofoid Lead Non-Wing & Midget Power Rankings into USAC Nationals!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (July 8, 2022) – With the Huset’s “USAC Nationals” kicking off tonight in South Dakota, C.J. Leary and Buddy Kofoid lead the way in their respective Power Rankings.

Leary’s advantage in the Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings is at just ten points over Justin Grant with Brady Bacon, who has topped the Non-Wing Power Rankings over each of the past two years, just another ten points back in third.  Emerson Axsom has climbed a pair of positions to fourth and is just 29 points off the lead pace with Jake Swanson filling out the current top five another ten points back.

In the Midget Power Rankings, Buddy Kofoid has reclaimed the top position after the May 25 Xtreme disqualification of Cannon McIntosh was upheld, elevating Taylor Reimer to her first win.

With the adjusted Millbridge finish, Kofoid now holds a 13-point edge over McIntosh with Justin Grant, Bryant Wiedeman and Brenham Crouch filling out the current top five.

While the USAC Sprint Cars and Midgets take to Huset’s for three nights, other Non-Wing action over the weekend includes a pair of weekly cards in Indiana (Lawrenceburg and Lincoln Park), BOSS at Atomic and the MSCS-sanctioned “Darland Classic” at Kokomo.

The weekend’s USAC Midget action leads into next week’s USAC Mid-America Midget Week as well as a POWRi triple in Missouri.

The Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings and Midget Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Cars and Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Cars.

Title sponsorship for the Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings and Midget Power Rankings is available.  Anyone interested in doing so may contact lonniewheatley@gmail.com.

Separated into Non-Wing 410 and Non-Wing 360 Power Rankings through 2018, those were consolidated into a single Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Ranking for 2019 and beyond with all Non-Wing 410 and injected Non-Wing 360 events included in the Rankings.
