Mallett Hammers USCS Speedweek finale at Jackson!

Lonnie Wheatley, BYRAM, Miss. (June 4, 2022) – Jordon Mallett finished off the United Sprint Car Series Speedweek by racing to victory lane in Saturday night’s 30-lap feature event at Jackson Motor Speedway.

Mallett took off from the pole position and denied Brad Bowden’s bids for the point to secure his first victory of the season.

“I knew it was gonna get dicey in traffic,” Mallett commented afterward.  “I could hear Brad (Bowden) there a couple of times, he’s always good at places like this so I knew I had work to do.”

The Greenbrier, AR, racer outgunned fellow front row starter Dustin Gates at the drop of the green flag and after a quick caution three laps in, led the field throughout.

Bowden moved in to challenge in traffic though, keeping Mallett on his toes as the final laps clicked off.  Mallett was up to the task and kept Bowden at bay with Gates, Dale Howard and Chase Howard rounding out the top five.

Mallett and Gates topped heat race action with Mallett victorious in the Dash to earn the pole position for the main event.
