Leary Holds Non-Wing Power Rankings Lead with Ballou on the Move!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (June 1, 2022) – Adding another pair of wins over the past two weekends, C.J. Leary continues to hold down the top spot in the latest Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings.

Leary pushed his win total to six on the year by taking USAC honors at Terre Haute on May 20 and then picking off Sunday night’s BC Indiana Double at Kokomo Speedway to extend his lead to 37 points as he vies for a second top-ranking in the Non-Wing Power Rankings after leading the way in 2019.

While Leary has solidified his lead, Robert Ballou has moved into the second position after topping the second night of USAC action at Terre Haute on May 21.  Ballou is shooting for his first top-five ranking since 2017 after topping the Non-Wing Power Rankings in both 2014 and 2015.

Jake Swanson is climbing the charts as well by moving from fifth to third as is Justin Grant, who has climbed from seventh to fourth.

Early leader Damion Gardner has slipped to fifth with Emerson Axsom, Chase Stockon, Brady Bacon, Matt Mitchell and Charles Davis, Jr., filling out the current top ten.

The Non-Wing Sprint Car Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Cars, Rod End Supply Winged 360 Sprint Cars and Midgets.
