Kofoid Takes Midget Power Rankings Lead into Midget Week!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (May 31, 2022) – With USAC’s Indiana Midget Week looming beginning with an appetizer at Granite City on Thursday and then seven Indiana races over the next nine nights, Buddy Kofoid holds down the top position in this year’s Midget Power Rankings.

Primarily busy in the Sprint Car ranks in recent weeks, Kofoid’s advantage remains at 17 points over Justin Grant as as the Penngrove, California racer vies for the number one spot in the Midget Power Rankings for a third year in a row.

Grant holds the edge for second over Cannon McIntosh on his five wins versus just two for McIntosh.  McIntosh’s second win came in Xtreme action at Millbridge to match Grant’s point total.

Bryant Wiedeman has climbed three positions to fourth with Christopher Bell filling out the top five.

Thomas Meseraull and Tanner Thorson are next in sixth and seventh, respectively, while Chase McDermand has cracked the top ten by moving up to eighth.  Kaylee Bryson and Mitchel Moles fill out the current top ten.

The Midget Power Rankings are a part of the Open Wheel Power Rankings that also includes STIDA Winged 410s, Non-Wing Sprint Cars and Rod End Supply Winged 360s.
