Sweet Holds Early Edge in STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings!

Lonnie Wheatley, BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (April 7, 2022) – After landing the top spot in the STIDA Winged 410 Sprint Car Power Rankings over two of the past three years, Brad Sweet holds the early edge in the 2022 rankings.

Sweet finally broke back into World of Outlaws victory lane last Tuesday at New Mexico’s Vado Speedway Park to snap a winless streak that dated back to last September 4 at Washington’s Skagit Speedway.

That triumph is among a chart-topping nine top-five finishes and 11 top-ten finishes, just enough to hold an 11-point edge over David Gravel for the top spot.  Already with wins at Volusia and Perris, Gravel looks to rebound from a trying Saturday night at Devil’s Bowl with this weekend’s Show-Me State double.

Just another six points back in third is Carson Macedo, who tops the Winged 410 Sprint Car win charts with three triumphs already including a pair of WoO wins at Cotton Bowl and Merced along with a Kings of Thunder score at Hanford.

Macedo holds the third spot by virtue of the win count over Posse traveler Brent Marks, who added his second win of the season on Saturday night at Devil’s Bowl Speedway.

Another Posse representative, Anthony Macri, rounds out the current top five with early wins coming at both Port Royal and Lincoln Speedway in Central Pennsylvania.  Macri holds the fifth ranking by virtue of racking up more top-fives thus far than Giovanni Scelzi, who sits sixth with the same amount of points.  One more point back in seventh is Sheldon Haudenschild with Donny Schatz, Justin Peck and back-to-back Lincoln winner Danny Dietrich filling out the current top ten.
